The Smoky Mountain Scottish Festival and Games in Townsend is the leading, and one of the oldest, celebrations of all things Scottish. The event features Scottish culture and traditions with educational presentations, Scotch tasting seminars, Border Collie demonstrations, Pipe and Drum bands and Highland Dancing. Scottish clans and athletes will compete in the hammer throw toss, kilted mile run, feats of strength, caber toss and the battle axe competition. Food vendors will offer cultural fare like meat pies, short breads – and of course – haggis.
